What Who is Gulnar?
Gulnar is a woman (yes, she's a real woman, not just a brand name), lives and works in Goa (India) and is passionate about discovering and making completely natural products. Every new Gulnar product is used and tested by her five-year old son and husband.



Are All your soaps completely organic?
No, they're not. All of them are hand-made, use natural botanical ingredients and none are tested on animals. But not all of them are organic in the sense of being made from organically grown plant ingredients. Some of our products are 100% chemical-free (those that are marked with '100% Natural'), but a few of them, like the glycerine-based soaps, contain small amounts of non-natural ingredients like preservatives to keep the products good to use for a longer period.
Which Soap is the best for my skin?
Unless you have an extreme skin condition, all our soaps are equally suitable for your skin. The glycerine in our soaps is a natural humectant and keeps the skin well moisturised. If you have excessively oily skin, we would recommend you try the Earth Soap. It is made from Fuller’s Earth (a type of clay that absorbs oil) and has excellent properties. Some of our customers swear by the scrub soaps that naturally exfoliate and cleanse clogged skin. They are particularly effective for knees, elbows and other parts where the skin hardens, good to use for a longer period.

Where are these products made? And who makes them?
Our products do not have the artificial finish that factory made soaps do. Gulnar soaps are handcrafted by rural women groups in India using natural ingredients like real leaves, petals and naturally occuring scrubs. They are sliced by hand and wrapped in a transparent film to showcase their natural ingredients.
